Chinatown-International District Night Market Festival

And Photos from in and Around the Puget Sound

My youngest daughter craved dumplings for dinner so we sauntered down to the C.I.D. for dinner. Little did we know that the annual Night Market Festival was well underway. We savagely circled the neighborhood for a parking space like a starving shark searching for prey. Eventually, we were rewarded with a parking space and after I released my death grip from the steering wheel we made our way along 5th Ave amidst the crowd. Following the sound of the drums, we were graced by the Seattle Kokon Taiko group. The upbeat drumming helped melt away the traffic hustle and the drummer’s smiles and irrevocable rhythm lifted our spirits. In due time, after the music, we made it to the restaurant and enjoyed a dumpling dinner.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been chasing Searun Cutthroat trout in Puget Sound. The fishing occasions are prime opportunities to grab a few captures. Also, took a few street shots, separate from the festival, and have included them below. And as always, my kids are the prime endeavor of any type of portrait photography. Enjoy the pics…
