About
Jacob Lakatua is a photographer based in Seattle. He works primarily in black-and-white film, drawn to architecture, landscape, and the textures of the Pacific Northwest.
He develops his own negatives and produces gelatin silver prints in the darkroom at Photographic Center Northwest, where he's a member and student. His recent work has been a slow experiment in chemistry — testing how different film stocks and developers translate the same place.
Some of his favorite frames come from the days he spends shooting film alongside his twelve-year-old daughter.
